Clarkson rugby league representatives in the Combined Specialist Schoolboys (red) and Pirates Development (white) Squads met in a hard fought match on Saturday 2nd March at Ken Allen Reserve, Hilton

The game was the first of the season for the Pirates and the Combined Specialist Schoolboy's squads and was played as a curtain raiser for the seniors game.  CCHS has a number of talented players of various age groups in both teams who move up through our specialist rugby league program to be selected for these development squads.

The score was an overwhelming win to the Pirates squad.  The Pirates squad is basically the state squad and the Combined Specialist Schoolboy's Squad is the next level up, and these boys often are promoted as a result of these games.  The schoolboys squad had basically had one training session prior to the game, whereas the Pirates boys have trained together for sometime.
There should be more good news coming on the rugby league front with so many talented players in our ranks.
