From 2015 government and non-government schools in Australia participated in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability.

All schools are now required to pass on information regarding students who fall under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

This data will lead to funding for schools and will support quality education programs and initiatives for students with disability. It will help schools to meet their obligations under the Disability Standards for Education 2005.

A student will only be included in the national data collection if they satisfy two criteria:

1. The student meets the definition of a person with disability as defined under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

2. The functional impact of the student’s disability results in the school actively addressing their needs.

For the purposes of the national data collection, students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia or auditory processing disorder as well as chronic health conditions like epilepsy, diabetes or asthma, that requires active monitoring by the school, may be included.

Parents of students included in the data collection will be contacted and notified. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Anthony Cochrane, Learning Support Coordinator, 94009752, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
