Welcome to Clarkson Community High School

Clarkson Community High School is a proud Independent Public School with a focus on “high care, high expectations”.  Our school community empowers students to build the confidence, values and skills as lifelong learners, to achieve their personal best for a successful future.

High quality teaching, a positive and orderly learning environment, and family partnerships are critical to student success. We offer a caring and supporting environment that meets the learning needs and aspirations of our students, recognising that success means different things for different students. We value and encourage student voice and support students to drive positive change within the school.

As a Community High School, we highly value our connections with our local primary schools, and with the community more broadly, to ensure that our students experience a smooth transition into high school and a strong sense of connection to our school and to their community. We are driven by our shared values: Care, Optimism, Respect and Trust.

As the Principal of Clarkson Community High School, I invite you to contact our dedicated staff to discuss how we can work together to ensure your child flourishes and achieves success.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. I further acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have nurtured and educated children on this land for thousands of years.

Leah Crawford, Principal

Photos from Clarkson Community High School's post Today, our Principal, Leah Crawford, and Deputy Principal, Andrea Parker, along with members of our VET and Careers team, were lucky enough to enjoy lunch at North Metro TAFE’s Pavilion Restaurant. 🍴
We were treated to amazing meals prepared by VETDSS Certificate II in Cookery students, including Year 12 student Mal, and served with professionalism by Certificate II and III in Hospitality students, including Year 11 student Nicole. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding! 👏
Opportunities like this highlight the incredible hands-on, industry-standard training that VET courses provide. Students gain real-world skills and confidence while working in professional environments—setting them up for success in their future careers.
Well done, Mal and Nicole – we’re so proud of your outstanding achievements in VET! 🌟

Sadly, one of our local families, whose children attend both Clarkson CHS and Clarkson PS, have lost their home and belongings in a recent house fire. As a community, we want to support them through this difficult time.
We are requesting donations of money rather than items, as the family is currently staying in temporary accommodation. The funds raised will be used to purchase Kmart and Woolworths vouchers, allowing them to replace essential items when they are ready.
If you would like to contribute, donations can be made through the front offices of Clarkson Community High School and Clarkson Primary School. We will purchase vouchers after school on Monday (September 8th) with all funds raised.

Photos from Clarkson Community High School's post Our Year 12 Food Science and Technology students have been busy honing their culinary skills, and this afternoon we had the pleasure of seeing their hard work come together in the most delicious way — stunning grazing boards! 🧀🥖🍓
Almost everything was handmade by our talented students — from jams, chutneys, and scones to crackers, breadsticks, jerky, dips, and even macaroons. Their creativity, dedication, and skill were a delight to witness (and to taste!).
A big congratulations to our students on such an impressive showcase of food and flair! 👏✨
