Clarkson Community High School is very proud of our Rugby League Program. Commencing in 2023 and currently running across Years 7-10, the program has proven to be very popular with students and aims to not only cover Rugby League, but also develop healthy eating, healthy attitudes and self-discipline.

The program is also designed to develop post-school employability by incorporating our Certificate courses (Year 11 and 12) and providing opportunities to be involved in coaching and refereeing courses through the NRL.

Our Rugby League program is incorporated into the wider school community, using sport to help develop multiple cross-curricular activities that will assist in building school culture and pride. We utilise available resources effectively, giving our students the best opportunity to be successful, not only in Rugby League, but in life!

What does the Program look like?

•    Timetabled classes – 2 classes per week dedicated to the Rugby League program.
•    Qualified coaching and mentorship by current under 15’s State coach.
•    Curriculum – aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum and mapped to grade descriptors.
•    Includes fitness testing as well as specific rugby league skill assessment using a range of methods. i.e. video analysis and peer observations.
•    Regular interschool games and competitions supported by NRL WA.
•    The program is heavily supported by NRL game development officers
